Barnett ("Barney") D. Hammond, Jr.
Barnett ("Barney") D. Hammond, Jr. is a partner specializing in commercial real estate transactions with extensive experience in the areas of investments and disposition of commercial property (including industrial, unimproved land, multi-family, hospitality/hotel, office, marina and resort properties and medical office/hospital properties); complex commercial leasing transactions (industrial, office, restaurant, retail, ground leases, medical office building and build-to-suit leases); lending transactions; loan and property portfolio sales; land development; and general business issues (entity selection, formation and governance).
Mr. Hammond was born in Corinth, Mississippi and received his B.A. degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in 1983, and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1987. While in law school, he served as Notes and Comments Editor of the SMU Law Review and was selected to the Order of the Barristers. Mr. Hammond is a member of the State Bars of Texas (1990) and California (1987) [currently inactive] and the Dallas Bar Association.
