Bruce R. Coleman
Bruce R. Coleman is one of the founding partners of Powell Coleman & Arnold LLP. Previously he was a partner in the Dallas office of a national law firm.
Mr. Coleman practices in most areas of real estate law, including development, leasing, lending and foreclosures. He has represented developers of major office buildings, hotels and apartments, and he has also represented a company which owned regional malls nationwide. He has extensive experience in retail leasing, real estate lending (representing both lenders and borrowers), and he has performed numerous foreclosures throughout Texas for real estate lenders. He also handles all agricultural loans in Texas for a major national insurance company.
Mr. Coleman is listed in Best Lawyers in America and is also recognized as one of the "Texas Super Lawyers" by Texas Monthly Magazine. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas.
Mr. Coleman received his B.A. degree, with high honors, from Southern Methodist University in 1974, and he received his J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1977. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and while in law school served as Managing Editor of the SMU Law Review, and was elected to the Barristers.
