Lester V. Baum
Lester V. Baum was a founding partner in Powell Coleman & Arnold LLP and is currently of-counsel to the firm. Previously he was a partner in the Dallas office of a national law firm.
Mr. Baum has represented developers and investors in the acquisition, development, financing and sale of real estate projects of all types, including raw land, shopping centers, office buildings, multifamily projects, health care facilities and industrial property. He has also represented both borrowers and financial institutions in a wide variety of commercial lending transactions, including acquisition, construction and permanent financing and loan restructuring and workouts. Mr. Baum is listed in Best Lawyers in America and has been named a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly magazine.
Mr. Baum received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named to Beta Gamma Sigma. He received his LL.B., Magna Cum Laude, from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor of the SMU Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Woolsack.
