Patrick M. Arnold

Patrick M. Arnold joined Powell Coleman & Arnold LLP after a 17 year tenure with Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P, where he was a senior partner and head of the Energy and Real Property Department of the Dallas office of that firm.

During his 30 years of practice, Mr. Arnold has represented developers, insurance companies, lending institutions, real estate investment trusts, pension funds, governmental entities, health care companies and other real estate investors in a wide array of real estate transactions. His experience includes construction and permanent mortgage lending, the sale and acquisition of real property and debt instruments secured by real property, the creation of business entities for investment in real property, workouts, foreclosures and credit problems relating to real estate loans, and negotiation of construction contracts, ground leases, office and retail leases, management agreements, reciprocal easement agreements and other agreements relating to the development of real property. His experience also includes structured finance transactions such as synthetic leases and real estate securitizations.

Mr. Arnold is currently listed in Best Lawyers in America and has previously been named as one of the "Best Lawyers in Dallas" by D Magazine and one of "Texas’ Super Lawyers" by Texas Monthly Magazine. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a Life Fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation, and has served as Chair of the Real Property Section of the Dallas Bar Association.

Mr. Arnold received his B.A. from the University of Texas in 1977, his M.F.A. from Columbia University in 1979, and his J.D. from Harvard University Law School in 1983. From 1983 to 1984, he served as a briefing attorney for the Texas Supreme Court.
